Truckers and Social Media Collide

10-31-2012 – For the final day of the 2012 Truck Driver Social Media Convention, three professional truckers came out winners in the “Pride in your Ride” contest. If you’re looking for a new semi to take pride in for next years event check out Wallwork Truck Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

The annual TDSMC if far different from other trucking events in which the focus is all placed on the driver.

Providing direct interaction during the open forums where drivers, attendees and speakers openly discuss, ask questions and share information, the event gathers those who believe that honesty and transparency should be top priority when networking and communicating.

or this year’s second annual convention, a “Pride in your Ride” contest was held offering 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies provided by KC Trucker, along with prizes donated by Cobra Electronics.

The contest was based on which driver attending the convention had the cleanest truck from the outside view, thus displaying the most “pride.”

The lucky CDL drivers walking away with the prizes were:

  • Dan Braun: 1st place trophy, plus a COBRA 8000 Pro HD GPS
  • Shelle Lichti: 2nd place trophy, plus a COBRA 6000 Pro HD GPS
  • Lee Fisher: 3rd place trophy, plus a COBRA 29 LX BT CB radio
